As Above, So Below

As Above, So Below is an art installation for Harvard University.

Rarely sensed but often underfoot, the over four miles of steam tunnels beneath Harvard have historically performed environmental and social functions—heating buildings and housing equipment while providing hidden gathering spaces for secret societies and cross-campus shortcuts for time-crunched undergrads.

Yet, they have been sealed off from students over the past few decades. This installation temporarily revives the social space of the tunnels, bringing what is below ground above it.
