Whenever Home Is Here

Whenever Home Is Here is an art piece examining the migrant experience. Inspired by the erosion of home as a person, place, or thing, these works explore how one might find footing in the unfamiliar. While conformity seems inviting, feelings of the foreign always seem to return.

Perhaps the musings of a migrant mind are best understood through a series of questions. Namely, what do we make of all the unseen symbols of home? If home somehow feels lost, then where did it go? How do we interpret the codes of this newfound world? And, lastly what if the many wanderings of our mind produced a map to nowhere at all?
