A Sky Full of Stars

A Sky Full of Stars is a theater complex investigating the potential of the planetarium typology to generate an urban condition. A family of 3 structures is created to line the SW corner of a Boston waterfront site.

In plan, the simple exterior surfaces combine to form a series of spirals which silently drift visitors towards the planetarium in plan. The ground floor program is split in two with the northern end reserved for exhibition space and the southern end reserved for a bar and lounge.
